Welcoming Commander Yoon Hee Keun and members of the high-ranking delegation of the Korean National Police Agency to visit and work with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam emphasized that over the past time, the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership has achieved many positive results, contributing to promoting the increasingly developing relations between the two countries, meeting the aspirations of the people, for peace and prosperity of the two countries.
Minister To Lam expressed his delight at the results of the implementation of Phase 2 of the Project “Improving the capacity of forensic science for the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam” funded by the Korean National Police Agency to the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam. The project has been implemented seriously, promptly and effectively, even during the COVID-19 outbreak, making an important contribution to improving the forensic science capacity of the forensic technical force of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam.
Mr. Yoon Hee Keun reviewed the Honor Guard of the Vietnam People's Public Security.
To further develop the cooperative relationship between the two countries in general, and between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Korean National Police Agency in particular, Minister To Lam suggested that in the coming time, the two sides continue to strengthen political trust, maintain mutual support at regional and international forums; promote cooperation in all fields, especially economics and trade; further promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges to enhance solidarity and mutual understanding.
Strengthening the exchange of delegations at all levels, promoting specific cooperation in the fields of preventing and combating transnational crimes; cooperation and exchange between the local police departments of Korea and the police of provinces and cities of Vietnam. Coordinating to ensure security, safety and creating conditions for citizens of one country to live, study and work in the other country.

Minister To Lam also requested the Korean National Police Agency to continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security to implement the project "Improving the capacity of the Traffic Police Force" for the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in the coming time; continue to organize training courses in Korea to improve the law enforcement capacity of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security on investigating high-tech crimes, fraud crimes via telecommunications networks and the Internet; analyzing and recovering data and electronic evidence; and providing training to improve Korean language proficiency.
Emphasizing that the cooperation between the two countries in the fields of law enforcement and crime prevention and control is increasingly developing positively and stably, bringing practical benefits to both sides, Minister To Lam expressed his belief that through this visit, the cooperation between the police forces of the two countries will continue to develop more closely and effectively, contributing significantly to promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new level.
