On the morning of June 11, the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command said that according to updated information from the ship in distress, at 9:10 a.m. on June 11, the fishing boat QNa 92954 TS was at the coordinates 15°35′03″N - 109°24′16″E (about 40 nautical miles east of An Hoa Cape). Currently, the fishing boat QNa 92032 TS is approaching for support. The area currently has level 6 winds and rough seas.
The Provincial Border Guard Command continues to direct the Ky Ha Border Guard Station to keep in contact with the ship owner and captain of fishing boat QNa 92954 TS.
"The area of the QNa 92954 TS ship has big waves and rough seas, the fishing boat is at risk of sinking. At 9:45 a.m. on June 11, the Provincial Border Guard Command dispatched ship BP-43.9801 with 7 officers and soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2 to depart from Tam Hiep port (Nui Thanh district, Quang Nam province) to deploy support work, rescue and tow the fishing boat in distress. It is expected that at 1 p.m. on the same day, the border guard force will approach the fishing boat in distress," informed the leader of the Quang Nam Provincial Border Guard Command.
According to the Provincial Border Guard, fishing boat QNa 92954 TS has a capacity of 715 CV, fishing with a net, with 2 crew members on board, departed at 9:17 a.m. on May 27 from An Hoa Border Guard Station, Ky Ha Border Guard Station.
