Many lingering problems
In the first 6 months of 2025, Quang Ngai achieved outstanding results: the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 11.51%, ranking first in the country. Total state budget revenue reached over 16,800 billion VND, equal to 47.8% of the central government's estimate, 45.5% of the provincial People's Council's estimate and 99.8% compared to the same period in 2024.
In recent times, the Provincial People's Council has actively, proactively and flexibly organized 10 thematic meetings to review, discuss and vote to pass 97 resolutions within its authority. Among them are many specific mechanisms and policies, concretizing legal documents of higher levels, contributing to removing difficulties and unblocking bottlenecks to promote socio -economic development.

Besides the achieved results, Quang Ngai still has some shortcomings and limitations such as slow disbursement of public investment capital, not reaching the set targets, many key projects encountering difficulties in site clearance and planning adjustment...
Attracting domestic and foreign investment continues to face difficulties; the real estate market is sluggish, many projects have not been implemented or are slow to be implemented, affecting land revenue and investor confidence. Management of natural resources and minerals still has many shortcomings.
At the 2nd session of the 13th Quang Ngai Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, held on July 14, Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Quynh Van frankly acknowledged the difficulties and problems that need to be resolved, which have been identified over time but have not been thoroughly resolved.

To effectively implement the tasks for the last 6 months of the year, the Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee has proposed many key solutions and tasks on socio-economy.
Accordingly, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van, Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, requested all levels, sectors and localities to review the system of targets set out in the congress resolution so that we can have solutions to improve and further promote the targets that have been achieved and exceeded as well as the targets that have not been achieved so that we can have appropriate guidance solutions.

“We will also review the issued mechanisms and policies. Because the impact of mechanisms and policies on the socio-economy is very large. Therefore, we need to review the implementation policies of the Central Government and local policies to have synchronization and implementation, and have positive solutions to mobilize social resources in the context of limited public investment resources,” said the Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.
Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van also emphasized that we clearly identify and mobilize, maximize the potential and advantages of Quang Ngai province today for the development of industry, agriculture , services, border gate economy... We continue to consistently implement the policy of the government accompanying businesses, all levels and sectors support, create favorable conditions for our businesses in the investment process when investing in the province. And we must also create solid trust so that businesses and investors truly feel secure when investing in our province.
“Therefore, to do this, I really hope that the Provincial People's Committee will continue to direct and remove difficulties and obstacles, especially investment policies and decisions related to projects that are behind schedule or not implemented, and must be thoroughly resolved. It cannot be that we are lacking land resources for investors who are passionate about investing in the province while there are enterprises that have investment policies but do not implement them. It cannot be that we take land and leave it there, holding a decision without doing anything, causing waste of land resources. I really hope that you will proactively review this issue to report and resolve it according to your authority,” emphasized the Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee.
Besides, it is necessary to focus on studying measures to implement economic targets, striving to achieve higher ones, such as gross domestic product, average income of our people, disbursement of public investment capital, etc.
The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct departments, branches and localities to implement contents related to planning and zoning plans of the province.
“I propose that the Provincial People's Committee proactively advise and direct agencies to consider in the current general context, the planning of Kon Tum has been approved before, the planning of Quang Ngai province has been approved, we complete and integrate it, if there are any advantages, difficulties, inadequacies, and problems, we will promptly report to the Government so that the Government can amend and supplement it to integrate it into the regional planning and integrate it into the national planning”, the Secretary of Quang Ngai suggested.
