
According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ngai, the whole province has 153 products that meet the OCOP standard of 3 stars or more. However, only a few products are sold at Co.opmart, GO!, Bach Hoa Xanh or specialty stores. Many products such as Ly Son garlic, gai leaf cake, rock sugar, turmeric starch... are still mainly consumed through traditional channels.
Through the survey, most of the establishments are small in scale, produce few products, it is very difficult to maintain the stability of the quantity supplied to supermarkets; do not meet the requirements of records and documents in transactions and sales. Some products are produced seasonally so the goods are not continuous.
In the coming time, the province will synchronously deploy many solutions such as supporting labels, tracing origin, guiding quality standards; organizing supply-demand connections between manufacturers and retail systems. The Department of Industry and Trade is also encouraging distribution enterprises to sign cooperation agreements to consume OCOP products locally.
Besides, developing online sales channels and e-commerce is a suitable direction, helping OCOP products expand the market without depending entirely on supermarkets.
