It is forecasted that in the next month (late November to late December), there will likely be 1-2 storms or tropical depressions in the East Sea, which may affect mainland Vietnam.

In provinces and cities from southern Quang Tri to Da Nang, the east of Quang Ngai province to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa, there is a possibility of widespread heavy rains concentrated in late November and early December.

Total rainfall forecast in the Northern region and provinces from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang in the next month is generally lower than the average of many years.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that from this evening to the evening of November 24, in the Hue, Da Nang and eastern Quang Ngai provinces, there will be moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall from 60-120mm, locally very heavy rain over 250mm.
In the eastern areas of Gia Lai, Dak Lak provinces and northern Khanh Hoa, there will be rain, moderate rain with common rainfall from 40-80mm, locally heavy rain over 150mm.
In the evening and night of November 24, in Hue, Da Nang, the eastern part of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces, there will be moderate to heavy rain with common rainfall from 20-50mm, locally very heavy rain over 100mm.
From November 25, heavy rain in the Central region tends to decrease.
On the afternoon of November 23, flood water on Krong Ana River (Dak Lak), Dinh Ninh Hoa River (Khanh Hoa), Dong Nai River (Dong Nai) receded, and Kon River (Gia Lai) fluctuated.
It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, flood on Krong Ana River will continue to decrease and be below alert level 3, Dong Nai River will continue to decrease and be below alert level 2.
Floods on Dinh Ninh Hoa River continue to decrease and are at alert level 2 to above alert level 2, floods on Kon River at Thach Hoa station fluctuate at alert level 1 to above alert level 1, floods on Srepok River (Dak Lak) at Ban Don station fluctuate at a high level above alert level 3.

According to the meteorological agency, over the past month, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai and the eastern part of Gia Lai - Dak Lak provinces (formerly Binh Dinh and Phu Yen) has experienced three large-scale heavy rains.
Notably, two heavy rains from October 23 to November 3, total rainfall in the area was generally from 500-800mm, in some places over 1,000mm, especially in Hue and Da Nang, some places total rainfall was over 1,500mm such as A Luoi (Hue) 1,755mm, Nam Dong (Hue) 2,452mm, Tra My (Da Nang) 2,061mm.
The rain from November 16 to 20 in the provinces from Ha Tinh to Khanh Hoa, focusing on the South Central provinces, will range from 150-350mm, in some places 350-650mm, especially in Son Hoa (Dak Lak) 1,037mm.
On November 19, at some stations in Gia Lai and Dak Lak, daily rainfall exceeded the November record.
At Quy Nhon station, it rained 380mm, exceeding the 1981 record by nearly 90mm; at Son Hoa station, it rained 600mm, exceeding the 2008 record by nearly 140mm; Ea Hleo station (Dak Lak) recorded 174mm of rain, exceeding the 2020 record by about 46mm.
