Quang Tri adjusts investment policy for logistics project in Southeast Economic Zone

On the morning of March 24, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province announced that Chairman of the People's Committee Vo Van Hung had just signed a decision approving the adjustment of the investment policy and approving the investor of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone Logistics and Logistics Service Center project of Dong Nam ICD Joint Stock Company.

Perspective of the Master Plan for the construction of the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone, Quang Tri province to 2035 and vision to 2050.

Accordingly, the expected land area of ​​the Southeast Economic Zone Logistics and Service Center project is 20.91 hectares. The total investment capital is more than 784.9 billion VND.

The project implementation location is in Hai Que commune, Hai Lang district, in the Southeast Quang Tri Economic Zone.

Regarding design capacity, the project constructs warehouses, yards for storing goods and transportation equipment, internal traffic systems, management and operation areas and auxiliary works.

Goods passing through the Southeast Economic Zone Logistics and Service Center are about 4.5 - 5 million tons/year.

Products and services provided are warehousing, storage, loading and unloading services; agency and transportation services; logistics services, activities of planning, organizing and supporting transportation, warehousing and distribution of goods; other support services related to transportation; direct support service activities for road transport belonging to logistics services as prescribed.

Regarding the project implementation progress, according to the Decision approving the adjustment of the investment policy, from the fourth quarter of 2019 to the second quarter of 2024, the steps of investment preparation, adjustment of the investment policy decision; site clearance of the entire project area, land lease; design of construction drawings, construction permits, and selection of construction contractors will be carried out.

In the third quarter of 2024, the investor will start construction of the project; in the third quarter of 2025, install and test run machinery and equipment; in the fourth quarter of 2025, complete construction of warehouses, yards, internal roads, technical infrastructure and put the entire project into operation.

The Southeast Economic Zone Logistics and Logistics Service Center Project has been decided by the People's Committee of Quang Tri province on investment policy and approved as investor by Dong Nam ICD Joint Stock Company since 2020.

Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee requests ICD Dong Nam Joint Stock Company to implement the investment project according to the approved Decision on investment policy approval and Decision on investment policy adjustment.

Comply with current legal regulations on investment, construction, land, environmental protection, transportation, labor, science and technology, minerals and related legal regulations.

Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee also requested departments, branches, sectors and Hai Lang District People's Committee to coordinate with Quang Tri Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to guide, support, urge and supervise investors to implement investment projects in accordance with legal regulations, promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee to handle difficulties and problems beyond their authority.
