Belief and motivation
In the context that the province is urgently arranging its organizational apparatus and determining long-term development goals, the timely support from the Central Government is the fulcrum for Quang Tri to be confident, proactively seize opportunities and move forward steadily in the new period.
Through the working trips of senior leaders of the Party, State and Central Committee, a clear and consistent message has been expressed about the long-term development orientation for Quang Tri. The enthusiastic speeches and profound instructions of the Party and State leaders have opened up a strategic vision, suggested many important directions and expressed great expectations for the spirit of innovation and solidarity of the whole province. That further affirms the belief that Quang Tri has enough conditions, capacity and aspiration to rise up and become a new growth pole.
Arousing the aspiration to rise up and develop comprehensively and sustainably is the profound guiding spirit of General Secretary To Lam through his speech with strategic requirements for the province in the first stage after the merger. The General Secretary emphasized that Quang Tri needs to take advantage of this special opportunity to arouse the will of self-reliance and the aspiration for development in the entire political system and the people. Solidarity and consensus will create a solid foundation for sustainable development.
The merger of the two provinces not only continues the tradition of close ties but also opens up opportunities to form a modern economic model, based on the advantages of the coast, seaports, airports, border gates and inter-regional economic corridors. In that context, the merger policy demonstrates a long-term vision in organizing administrative space associated with effective and sustainable regional development. With a strategic geo-economic position and increasingly complete infrastructure, Quang Tri has the basis to become a new growth pole of the North Central region.
The General Secretary directed that Quang Tri must focus on building a truly clean and strong Party and political system. Personnel work must prioritize qualities, capacity and efficiency, resolutely prevent localism and group interests, and ensure solidarity and unity. The Central Committee believes in the mettle and intelligence of the Party Committee and the people of Quang Tri, and at the same time calls on the province to continue to innovate its thinking, act decisively, promote the revolutionary spirit, and build a prosperous homeland rich in identity.
Rise up to be worthy of the "golden opportunity"
Speaking at the ceremony announcing the merger resolution, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized: The merger of Quang Binh - Quang Tri is a blend of nature, culture and people, aiming to create a happier future, forming a new Quang Tri province with a superior position and strategic competitive advantage. The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his belief that, with its endogenous strength, the spirit of overcoming difficulties and the desire to rise up, Quang Tri will develop strongly, worthy of the "golden opportunity" from the merger and organization of a two-level local government model.

The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Quang Tri should soon establish strategic goals, plans and orientations for sustainable development, in conjunction with preparations for Party congresses at all levels. The province needs to affirm its determination to become the economic center of the North Central region by 2030 and a center for regional and international connectivity by 2050.
He emphasized the potential for developing renewable energy, the flag of green economy, promoting high-tech industry, forming a clean energy center associated with modern industry. As the end point of the East-West Economic Corridor, Quang Tri needs to develop logistics, border gate economy and build a smart logistics system, aiming to become a transit center in Southeast Asia.
At the meeting with voters of Quang Tri province on July 7, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung made frank comments and suggested many profound development directions for the province. He affirmed that the merger of the two provinces is a great opportunity to form a new promising growth pole for the North Central region.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the province should soon review and adjust the spatial development planning; identify driving forces to focus investment, especially in transport infrastructure, coastal economic zones, industrial clusters and urban centers. At the same time, the province needs to proactively reform institutions, streamline the apparatus, improve the investment and business environment, and promote the application of digital technology in management and operation.
In addition to economic development, the Deputy Prime Minister also noted that Quang Tri should pay attention to preserving and promoting the diverse traditional cultural values of the ethnic groups in the area. In particular, he emphasized the importance of the spirit of "dare to think, dare to do, put the common interest above all" among the staff, in order to create motivation for Quang Tri to rise strongly in the new development stage.
Proactively create, confidently move forward
On behalf of the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Tri province, Provincial Party Secretary Le Ngoc Quang expressed his deep gratitude for the attention and comprehensive guidance of General Secretary To Lam and the leaders of the Party and State. He affirmed that the province will seriously absorb the guidance and concretize it into goals and key tasks in the documents of the Provincial Party Congress for the next term.
With the spirit of solidarity, courage to overcome difficulties, innovation in thinking and determination in action, Quang Tri is determined to maximize its potentials and strengths; effectively mobilize resources for rapid and sustainable development, worthy of the trust and expectations that the Central Government and the people of the whole country have placed on the province in this historic turning point.
From the strong commitment of the head of the provincial Party Committee, we can clearly feel the momentum of action spreading throughout the province's political system. That determination is gradually being materialized through proactive, synchronous and urgent actions on many fronts.
The organizational structure was quickly consolidated, major development orientations were systematically initiated; the spirit of innovation, creativity, and the common good was strongly aroused among the staff and spread among the people. The trust and expectations from the Central Government are becoming the driving force urging Quang Tri to act decisively, taking advantage of opportunities to break through and rise up.
The journey ahead is still full of difficulties, but with the spirit of solidarity, initiative, aspiration and high political determination; the right direction from the Central Government, the determination of the political system and the consensus of the people, Quang Tri will gradually turn expectations into results, towards the goal of becoming a new bright spot on the development map of the North Central region. Quang Tri not only continues the history of two heroic lands but also opens a new chapter in the journey of rising up with the country.
