Que Ngoc Hai and Nguyen Tien Linh are the two latest cases that may have to say goodbye to the Vietnamese team. This duo did not recover from injuries in time before the 2023 Asian Cup.
Coach Troussier will have to submit a list of 26 players 10 days before the tournament takes place, so he needs to consider injuries and when they can return to play.
Que Ngoc Hai has actually been absent from the Vietnam national team for quite a while due to injury. In the 2 matches in the 2nd qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup, he was on the list of players registered to play, but coach Troussier did not risk using this student.
