Thai Parliament appreciates cooperative relationship with Vietnamese Parliament

President of the National Assembly and Speaker of the House of Representatives of Thailand Wan Muhamad Noor Matha highly appreciated the friendship and strategic cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam, which are in a good development stage towards the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2026.

According to a VNA reporter in Bangkok, the Speaker of the Thai National Assembly delivered this message during a friendly reception for Ambassador Pham Viet Hung on July 15 at the headquarters of the Thai National Assembly.

The Speaker of the Thai National Assembly emphasized that the two countries' parliaments have a close cooperative relationship based on the Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Thai House of Representatives and the Memorandum of Understanding between the Office of the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Secretariat of the Thai House of Representatives, contributing to strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Congratulating Vietnam on its socio-economic development achievements, National Assembly Chairman Wan Muhamad Noor Matha thanked the Vietnamese Government for creating favorable conditions for Thai businesses to invest in Vietnam, emphasizing that the two countries still have much room for cooperation in many fields.

The President of the Thai National Assembly also expressed his wish to visit Vietnam at a time convenient for both sides in the near future.

For his part, Ambassador Pham Viet Hung respectfully conveyed the greetings and health care wishes of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to National Assembly Chairman Wan Muhamad Noor Matha, expressing his honor to assume the role of Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand, a beautiful and hospitable country.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung affirmed that Thailand is not only a close neighbor but also one of Vietnam's leading important partners, and emphasized that he will make every effort to contribute to the development of strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Pham Viet Hung also expressed his hope that the Thai National Assembly and parliamentarians would support and facilitate Thailand's investment in Vietnam, develop trade in a balanced and mutually beneficial manner, and enhance people-to-people exchanges.

Besides, the Ambassador expressed his hope that National Assembly Chairman and Speaker of the House of Representatives Wan Muhamad Noor Matha will take time to visit Vietnam in the near future./.
