An important stage in President Ho Chi Minh 's journey to find a way to save the country

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Tung emphasized that the book "Uncle Ho in Thailand" is a work of careful collection and compilation, gathering valuable historical documents, authentic and touching stories about the time President Ho Chi Minh was active in the revolution in the Kingdom of Thailand in the years 1928-1929.

Although his stay in Thailand was only over a year, it was an extremely important stage in Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country. Under the alias Thau Chin, Nguyen Ai Quoc arrived in Siam (now Thailand) in July 1928 and quickly integrated into the lives of overseas Vietnamese.

Here, he directly built and consolidated the revolutionary base, prepared politically, ideologically and organizationally for the establishment of a proletarian political party in Vietnam. From the small Vietnamese villages in the provinces of Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Phichit, the image of Mr. Chin (Thau Chin) became close and dear to the people.

He aroused and fostered patriotism and national solidarity in the overseas Vietnamese community, laying a solid foundation for the patriotic movement of our overseas compatriots in Thailand.

Despite operating in extremely difficult conditions, always being closely monitored and hunted, thanks to the love, protection and shelter of overseas Vietnamese and the Thai people, Uncle Ho was still safe to continue his noble revolutionary cause. Stories about his simplicity, closeness, immense love and profound wisdom during this time have been deeply engraved in the minds of many generations of Vietnamese people in Thailand, becoming sacred memories, valuable lessons and vividly and authentically recreated in the book "Uncle Ho in Thailand".
