Attending the event were comrade Luong Minh Ngoc, UNICEF program officer in Vietnam; representatives of the Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention ( Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ); leaders of Tam Kim Commune People's Committee; commune officials, civil servants, teachers and students of Tam Kim Primary and Secondary School.
The program aims to raise awareness and responsibility of the community in preventing and combating natural disasters, protecting the environment and building a safe and healthy living space for children. After the opening and launching speeches, delegates, staff and students participated in cleaning the school grounds, planting trees and creating a clean and beautiful landscape.

The program is part of a series of activities by UNICEF and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment to support localities in implementing safe, friendly school models and responding to natural disasters. This is also an opportunity to spread the message of shared responsibility in building a “safe - clean - green” environment, for a sustainable future for Vietnamese children.
