Awarding ceremony of the contest to learn about the Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law 2024

The contest attracted more than 350,000 union members and workers at 51 provincial and municipal labor federations and central industry unions...

The Organizing Committee awarded 58 prizes, including 24 collective prizes and 34 individual prizes. Of which, the Labor Federation of Thanh Hoa province and Lai Chau province won the first collective prize. Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hung ( MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation Trade Union) won the first individual prize.

Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation won second prize in the contest

Among the units with outstanding achievements are the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Vietnam Banking Trade Union, Vietnam Railway Trade Union, Vietnam Textile and Garment Trade Union, Vietnam Healthcare Trade Union, etc. Many groups and individuals from the grassroots have demonstrated a deep understanding of the law and workers' rights, contributing to spreading the spirit of learning and raising legal awareness among workers, civil servants and laborers nationwide.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu affirmed that the online contest "Workers, civil servants, and laborers learn about the Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law in 2024" has contributed to raising legal awareness, spreading the spirit of living and working according to the Constitution and the law among union members and laborers.

The Trade Union Law and the Social Insurance Law are two important laws, creating a solid legal corridor for the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new period, strongly affirming the role of trade union organizations in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers.

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu assessed that the contest attracted thousands of essays expressing sincere feelings and simple but earnest wishes of workers, such as "unions must be strong where workers are weak", "social insurance needs to be flexible so that no one is left behind"...
