
On the evening of November 11, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that, up to now, 14 hospitals in the city have recorded 299 cases of suspected food poisoning after eating "Miss Bich's toad bread". Most of the patients have stabilized and been discharged from the hospital.
Military Hospital 175 received the most cases, with 175 case.
At Gia Dinh People's Hospital, in addition to the previously detected salmonella, blood culture results also recorded a case of staphylococcus coagulase negative infection. Also at this hospital, a patient's condition worsened due to multiple underlying diseases.

The patients were hospitalized from November 5 to 11 at many medical facilities with the same symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever after eating bread under the brand name "Banh mi toad co Bich".
On November 10, the Department of Food Safety ( Ministry of Health ) issued an official dispatch requesting the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety to investigate and trace the origin of food to clearly identify the source of raw materials and food suspected of causing poisoning; take food samples and specimens for testing to find the cause; investigate and strictly handle violations of food safety regulations (if any), and publicize the results to promptly warn the community.
