Rang Dong Holding RDP was 'named and shamed' again for being slow to disclose information

DNVN - Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HoSE) continues to issue a document reminding Rang Dong Holding Joint Stock Company (stock code: RDP) of the second delay in announcing financial statements for the third quarter of 2024.

According to the announcement issued on November 6, on November 1, 2024, HoSE issued Official Letter No. 1720/SGDHCM-NY dated November 1, 2024 reminding RDP about the delay in disclosing the financial statements for the third quarter of 2024 (separate and consolidated). As of November 5, 2024, HoSE has not yet received the financial statements for the third quarter of 2024 (separate and consolidated) of RDP.

Pursuant to Circular 96/2020/TT-BTC dated November 16, 2020 of the Ministry of Finance , HoSE reminded RDP for the second time about the delay in disclosing financial statements for the third quarter of 2024 and requested the company to urgently submit the audited semi-annual financial statements for the 2024 fiscal year and the third quarter financial statements for the 2024 fiscal year (parent and consolidated).

RDP shares of Rang Dong Holding Joint Stock Company are currently subject to trading restrictions according to Decision No. 588/QD-SGDHCM dated October 17, 2024 because the listed organization is late in submitting the audited semi-annual financial statements (BCTC) for 2024 (individual and consolidated) more than 45 days after the prescribed deadline, which is a case of securities subject to trading restrictions according to regulations.

Rang Dong Holding RDP Joint Stock Company was reminded of the delay in announcing financial statements for the third quarter of 2024 (individual and consolidated).

In case RDP continues to delay submitting the third quarter 2024 financial report and the semi-annual audited financial report of 2024, HoSE will handle violations at a higher level according to current regulations.

In an official dispatch sent to the State Securities Commission and HoSE on October 21, 2024, reporting measures and roadmap to overcome the situation of restricted securities trading, RDP said that the reason the company was late in announcing the audited financial statements for the 2024 semi-annual period was because the company and the auditing organization, Nhan Tam Viet Auditing Company Limited, could not finalize the audit report on time as prescribed.

RDP commits to focus on completing the 2024 semi-annual financial report and announcing it as soon as possible. The company also commits to quarterly reporting on the status of overcoming the situation of restricted securities trading and disclosing information on the stock market according to regulations.

RDP's consolidated financial report for the second quarter of 2024 shows that sales and service revenue in the second quarter of 2024 reached VND 255.3 billion - a sharp decrease compared to VND 776.7 billion recorded in the same period last year. Accumulated in the first 6 months of 2024, sales and service revenue reached VND 765.9 billion, a long decline compared to the VND 1,361 billion recorded in the same period last year.

Total profit after corporate income tax in the second quarter was negative VND65.6 billion, while it reached VND10.4 billion in the same period in 2023. Accordingly, RDP's profit after tax in the first 6 months of the year was negative VND64.5 billion, a sharp decrease compared to VND11 billion recorded in the first half of last year.
