The Spring Festival took place over 4 days, from the 2nd to the 5th of the lunar calendar. The Spring Festival attracted thousands of visitors from inside and outside the province to participate in many exciting competitions and exchanges.
Within the framework of the spring festival program, there are many activities, such as: Bull fighting, ethnic costume performance, pounding rice cakes, wrapping square cakes, sports competitions, traditional games, folk song and dance exchanges, sightseeing, shopping at booths of local specialties... All the competition and entertainment contents are imbued with traditional culture, closely associated with the lives of indigenous people.
The Dien Bien Dong Spring Festival is a series of unique competitions and exchanges that fully converge all aspects of cultural life and traditional beauty of the local ethnic groups. The special point compared to previous years is probably the bull fighting competition and the performance of ethnic costumes. These two events not only attract local people to compete, but also attract contestants from outside the district and province to participate, thereby enhancing the friction and exchange in the first days of the new year. Although the participation of contestants from outside the district is just beginning, it is possible to see the attraction of spring welcoming activities in Dien Bien Dong.
