According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Cristiano Ronaldo is said to have rejected an offer to move to Al Hilal.
This move has confused the Saudi Arabian government . The Middle Eastern country's public investment fund is keen to keep Ronaldo and wants to create conditions for the Portuguese superstar to play for Al Hilal to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup or Al Ahli to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite next season.
Currently, Ronaldo's contract with Al Nassr will expire at the end of June. The 40-year-old striker still leaves open the possibility of continuing to stick with the team at Al-Awwal Park. If he stays, CR7 will not be able to participate in the Asian Cup next season, because Al Nassr only ranked 3rd in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo is still an attractive name, even though he is 40 years old. |
Previously, Al Nassr confirmed their efforts to negotiate to keep Ronaldo longer.
Sporting Director Fernando Hierro confirmed: "We are in contact with Cristiano to extend his contract and we really hope he will continue with Al Nassr. Every day there is a new club appearing in the media, with around 30 teams interested in Ronaldo, but we hope he will stay."
Since signing Ronaldo, Al Nassr has only won the 2023 Arab Cup, along with two runners-up finishes in the SPL. In the continental arena, Al Nassr's best achievement is reaching the semi-finals.
