In 2023, Carlos Alcaraz played 17 tournaments and won 6 titles. However, since winning Wimbledon in July after defeating Djokovic in the final, the Spaniard has not won another title in the last 4 months of the year.

Commenting on his student Alcaraz in Eurosport, coach Boris Becker said: "Defeating Djokovic, becoming the world number one and winning Wimbledon for the first time, but maintaining form is very difficult. Any player can have a good tournament, a good season, but maintaining that level over many years is a big challenge.
Alcaraz has shown a lack of progress. Players realise that they have to play their best against Alcaraz, which helps them improve. Other players have developed but Alcaraz has stagnated."
In the final match of 2023, Alcaraz lost to Djokovic in the semi-finals of the ATP Finals. According to coach Boris Becker, the Spaniard needs to distribute his tournament schedule more reasonably if he wants to be successful in 2024.

I would compare Nole to Lionel Messi, LeBron James and Tom Brady. They are athletes who are dominating or have dominated their sport in their late 40s."
According to the rankings of the International Tennis Association (ATP) announced on November 27, Djokovic marked his 401st week as world number one. Italy won the 2023 Davis Cup in Spain, however, this men's team tennis tournament does not count ATP points.
There are no changes in the ATP Top 4 this week, Djokovic (Serbia) holds the top spot with 11,245 points, Carlos Alcaraz (Spain) is in 2nd place with 8,855 points, Daniil Medvedev (Russia) has 7,600 points in 3rd place and Jannik Sinner is in 4th place with 6,490 points.
