The White Paper provides an overview of the requirements for weapons and related equipment that the Thai Army will need to equip in the coming time. According to this document, in addition to armed drones and attack helicopters, the Thai Army also mentioned a number of other types of weapons such as: tanks, wheeled armored vehicles, patrol helicopters, transport aircraft, defense radar systems, territorial surveillance systems, communication and intelligence equipment.

According to Thai Army Chief General Charoenchai Hinthao, the White Paper was published to help the public understand the role and development framework of the military. Mr. Charoenchai noted that the list of weapons mentioned in the White Paper was established based on possible security challenges up to 2027.

General Charoenchai stressed that the White Paper was published to help people gain a deeper understanding of the evolving role of the military and its future.

According to thai.news, the White Paper is not just a wish list, but a clear call for modernization. The document does not elaborate on specific details, but instead provides a broad view of an ambitious plan to procure a wide range of advanced weapons that must meet a range of changing security challenges.
