BTO-Tomorrow morning (May 13), the 2023 Phu Quy Island Half Marathon will officially take place. Up to this point, all preparations for the tournament have been completed, ready for the opening day.
In preparation for the successful 2023 Phu Quy Island Half Marathon, the Organizing Committee has inspected the 10km and 21km running routes in the past few days, and completed propaganda, celebration, route protection plans, and tournament service forces. Phu Quy District Youth Union has also mobilized about 150 volunteers to support the tournament; arranged 13 water stops on all running routes.
To prepare for the tournament, athletes from participating provinces and cities arrived at Phu Quy Island a few days in advance to practice and get used to the climate and the race track. Currently, the athletes have received their jerseys and numbers to be ready for the official tournament on the morning of May 13.
This is the first time Phu Quy district has organized a Half Marathon around Phu Quy island, to celebrate the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023), responding to events welcoming the National Tourism Year 2023 " Binh Thuan - Green Convergence". At the same time, promoting the movement of the whole population to exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho.
The Half Marathon around Phu Quy Island is not only a simple sports competition, but also an opportunity to promote the image and people of Phu Quy to tourists near and far.
