Ready for Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2024

The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2024 is just under a month away. Preparations are underway for the city’s big event.

The return of many talents

DIFF 2024 is scheduled to take place from June 8 to July 13 with the theme "Made in unity - Global connection - Radiant five continents" including 5 performance nights with the participation of teams from Da Nang (Vietnam), France, USA, Italy, Germany, Poland, China, Finland. In addition to the host team Da Nang (Vietnam), this year's DIFF will have the participation of many teams that won high prizes in previous seasons. Having won the Creativity award at DIFF 2023, the Surex Firma Rodzinna fireworks team (Poland) will continue to compete at DIFF 2024 with emotional music effects. According to the team members, they are not simply performing fireworks but performing a true work of art. As the champion of DIFF 2023, the Arteventia fireworks team (France) continues to compete at DIFF 2024, promising to have many interesting things at the performance night to create new and unique things for viewers.

Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB (Finland) is a formidable opponent in this year's festival season. DIFF 2023, the fireworks team from Finland won the Audience Favorite Award, so this year they will have new strategies to conquer the audience on both sides of the Han River. Another formidable opponent at DIFF 2024 is the Martarello Group SRL fireworks team (Italy). They have many years of experience performing at DIFF and have achieved high rankings, including the runner-up prize at DIFF 2023. The return of the fireworks team from Italy will contribute to increasing the appeal among the participating teams.

The most anticipated in this year's DIFF season is the participation of 3 rookies from China, Germany and Italy. Although they are 3 rookies at the DIFF playground, they are also strong fireworks teams, having participated in many major performances around the world . For example, the Pyrogenie fireworks team (Germany) won first prize at the Masters de Feu Festival, Paris, France 2023, first prize at the San Fermin International Fireworks Competition, Pamplona, Spain 2023; or the Rozzi fireworks team (USA) has produced and performed more than 300 fireworks displays around the world and won second prize at the Montreal International Fireworks Competition, Canada in 2023. The Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co.,LTD fireworks team (China) is an unknown quantity at DIFF 2024 because Jingduan Technology is known as a famous fireworks display equipment manufacturer in China, with equipment used by many professional fireworks display companies in the world such as the US, Thailand, Dubai... and has participated in many performances in countries around the world .

Sun Group representative said that DIFF 2024 returns with many new features, along with the participation of new fireworks teams from Germany, China and the US, promising to bring many surprises to the audience. In particular, it is expected that the opening ceremony of DIFF this year will feature an extreme sports performance, which will be the highlight that makes DIFF 2024 completely different from previous seasons.

Promote communication to attract customers

Currently, preparations for DIFF are being coordinated by the organizing committee, departments, branches, and localities. Mr. Ha Vy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports, said that the department has advised the City People's Committee to issue a decision to complete the Da Nang International Fireworks Team; has composed the music script and completed the background music for the performance. The Da Nang Fireworks Team is programming the performance. To meet the demand for fireworks viewing of residents and tourists, the size of the grandstand this year has increased to 10,174 seats/night.

In addition to the fireworks shows, during the event, there are about 40 activities accompanying DIFF, including some new activities such as: water art performances jestky and flyboard at Asia Park; quiz contest to learn about DIFF 2024; Random dance Kpop program, summer playground program for children...

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An, the department has issued a document informing and requesting tourism service businesses in the city to widely promote and publicize DIFF 2024; plan to implement the task of organizing DIFF 2024; develop a DIFF 2024 communication plan before, during and after the event; promote online visual communication at airports and train stations, integrate into tourism promotion programs in major cities and international markets. Currently, the number of guests booking rooms in the riverside area is about 50% compared to the same period last year. The current trend is that guests do not book rooms early, and fireworks tickets have just been on sale, so it is hoped that guests will book many rooms in the near future.
