According to regulations, the exam starts at 8:00 a.m. If candidates arrive more than 15 minutes late after the exam start time, they will not be allowed to take the exam. The prolonged heat has caused many parents to worry about the health of candidates as well as the risk of rotating power outages and flooding. Regarding this issue, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, has requested that exam sites must conduct a final check of the electrical and fan systems to ensure that no electrical problems arise at the exam sites. During the exam period (from June 9 to June 12), Hanoi Electricity has committed to having a plan to ensure uninterrupted power supply. Many exam sites provide free drinking water and paper fans to candidates. The exam sites also prepare medicine and medical supplies, ready to support candidates with health problems. According to the representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, the whole city has 201 examination sites, with a total of 4,477 examination rooms serving candidates taking the non-specialized public grade 10 entrance exam and 402 spare examination rooms. The number of candidates who came to the examination site to complete the examination procedures on June 9 was 114,962, accounting for 99.4% of the total number of candidates registered to take the exam. There were more than 600 candidates absent because they had been admitted to specialized grade 10 of universities, or went to vocational school... The total number of candidates needing support during the exam was 9.
The examination sites have appropriate support plans, ensuring that candidates take the exam according to their wishes and the conditions for taking the exam according to the regulations. On the day of examination procedures, 15,364 officials, teachers and staff were present at the examination sites to perform their duties, reaching 99.97% of the total number of officials, teachers and staff mobilized. The absent exam supervisors were assigned backup teachers to ensure compliance with the examination regulations. As of 7:00 p.m. on June 9, the Hanoi City Examination and Admissions Steering Committee affirmed that the facilities serving the examination sites were fully prepared according to regulations. 100% of the examination sites have received all stationery from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training; 100% of the examination sites have coordinated with security forces and police to prepare plans to ensure security and safety in the examination site and the area outside the examination site gate. Each testing site has a backup generator. The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has directed testing sites to continue to strengthen security measures at testing sites (test rooms, cabinets for storing test papers and exam papers; security camera systems; personnel...); preservation of candidates' personal belongings; plans to ensure food hygiene and safety; traffic diversion and storm and flood prevention...
