The achievements in mass mobilization work not only contribute to socio-economic development, sustainable poverty reduction, and new rural construction, but also strengthen and consolidate people's trust in the Party, State and Army, and brighten the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the hearts of the people. The above content was affirmed at the Conference to summarize the emulation movement "Skilled mass mobilization", building "Good mass mobilization units" in the Army for the period 2021-2025 organized by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army on September 11.

Attending the conference were representatives of central and local departments, ministries and branches; leaders of agencies and units under the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense ; delegates representing collectives and individuals of units with outstanding achievements and typical awards. The conference was held directly at the General Department of Politics hall, connecting with 92 points throughout the army.

The emulation movement of “Skilled mass mobilization” and building “Good mass mobilization units” in the past 5 years has been implemented synchronously, comprehensively, closely linked to the reality of each base and each locality, creating a strong spreading force throughout the army. Officers and soldiers have promoted the spirit of “wherever there is difficulty, there are soldiers”, proactively coming to the people, not waiting for the people to come to the soldiers. A series of projects, tasks, and creative models have been implemented, bringing practical results.

Major General Be Hai Trieu, Director of the Department of Mass Mobilization (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) reported on the results of the emulation movement.

The entire army has supported and participated in helping people work, produce, build new rural areas, develop the economy and society with over 1,770,000 working days, repairing and upgrading over 6,000 km of irrigation canals, nearly 10,000 km of rural roads, over 600 classrooms, 322 temporary bridges; built 45,697 houses. Helped eliminate hunger and reduce poverty for over 4,000 households; opened 56 literacy classes for 1,175 people...

From the practical movement, hundreds of models of "skillful mass mobilization" and good practices have emerged, along with many typical and advanced collectives and individuals. There are units that have turned the motto "listen to the people, speak so that the people understand, make the people believe" into concrete actions through models such as: "Happiness is sharing" (General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army), "Pipeline of the people's hearts" (General Department of Logistics and Engineering), "Connecting the army and people, strengthening trust" (General Department of Defense Industry), "Accompanying to overcome difficulties" (Military Region 4), "Militia holding the people's households" (Military Region 7), "Border guards strengthen the communes", "Twining residential clusters on both sides of the border" (Border Guard), "Cleverly connecting the border with the people" (Navy), "Building secret bases in the hearts of the people" (Special Forces), "Military-civilian Tet" (Military Region 9), "Military and people join hands for community health" (Army Corps 12)...

The conference spent time discussing and contributing ideas from the connecting points, clarifying good practices and typical models. Colonel Pham Ngoc Quang, Political Commissar of the Can Tho City Military Command, reported that the unit has effectively implemented the Emulation Movement in recent years, with many good models and creative practices of political and social significance spreading widely such as "Tet Quan Dan", "Mung Chol Chnam Thmay"... always close to the people, close to the base, eating, living and working with the people.

As a military medical unit, the 108 Central Military Hospital has carried out field trips to do mass mobilization work, provide medical examinations for ethnic minorities in remote areas and serve policy beneficiaries. Through practice, Major General Nguyen Hoang Ngoc, Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the 108 Central Military Hospital, said: “Medical activities are an important bridge between the Party, the State, the Army and the local ethnic minorities, conveying the Party and State's policies to the people, connecting the military and the people, building a solid "people's hearts" position, and fighting against the malicious propaganda of hostile forces."

Introducing this content, Colonel Bui Tuan Quynh, Deputy Chief of Political Department of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, delivered a speech highlighting the image of the "blue beret" soldiers who overcame all difficulties, promoted the noble qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers through many creative forms and measures, carried out well the propaganda work, mobilized the people of the host country, helped with production methods, instructed on hygiene skills, epidemic prevention, family care skills, donated supplies, books, etc.

Concluding the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Truong Thien To affirmed: The emulation movement has actively contributed to building a strong grassroots political system, participating in propaganda and mobilizing people to promote their mastery in building clean and strong local Party organizations, governments and mass organizations; mobilizing many resources and determination, consensus and creativity of the people in implementing the National Target Programs, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction; thereby, strengthening and consolidating the close relationship between the Party, the State, the people and the Army; effectively resolving complicated cases from the grassroots level; contributing to maintaining political security, social order and safety nationwide, building an increasingly solid "people's hearts and minds position".

Clearly define: Mass mobilization is not a side job, but a fundamental and long-term political task of the Army, and the responsibility of all cadres and soldiers.
