The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is a major obstacle for Thailand in winning its 15th consecutive gold medal.
At the 33rd SEA Games, the Thai women's volleyball team with its overwhelming strength is considered the number 1 candidate for the gold medal. However, the journey of coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai and his team at this year's tournament will be somewhat more difficult due to the absence of many important pillars such as Donphon Sinpho, Wipawee Srithong and Thanacha. Most recently, star Hattaya Bamrungsuk also suffered a serious injury while playing in the match between Gunma Green Wings and Hisamitsu Springs in the Japanese league (SV League).
Setter Pornpun Guedpard shared after the training session on November 24: “My physical condition and the whole team are quite good. We are all ready for the 33rd SEA Games. All we need to do is improve our ball feel, the connection between positions, tactics on the field and the frequency of playing in the tournament. The goal of the Thai women's volleyball team is nothing other than winning the 33rd SEA Games gold medal.”

In the SEA Games arena, the Thai women's volleyball team is showing dominance with 14 consecutive gold medals. In a broader sense, the Thai women's volleyball team has also reached the highest podium 16 times. However, according to Pornpun Guedpard, to complete the goal of winning gold medals at this congress, Thailand will face a big challenge in the form of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
“The Vietnamese women’s volleyball team still has many outstanding players. They are improving quickly and there are many factors that can create surprises. We have to study our opponents carefully and cannot underestimate them. The Vietnamese women’s team is our biggest obstacle in winning the gold medal at this SEA Games,” Pornpun Guedpard said.
The 1993-born setter also surprisingly mentioned Bich Tuyen - the star of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team who will most likely not be able to participate in the 33rd SEA Games: "Bich Tuyen is one of the best players of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the moment. She can create many breakthrough plays, helping the Vietnamese women's team become much stronger. But whether she comes to Thailand to participate in the SEA Games or not, we will still try our best."

SEA Games 33 Organizing Committee starts selling tickets tomorrow - November 26
Regarding the 33rd SEA Games, according to Khaosod , tickets to the 33rd SEA Games opening ceremony will officially go on sale from November 26. Notably, tickets to watch the opening ceremony live will be sold for free. On the same day, team sports such as football (starting December 3) will also start selling tickets, through the official website www.seagames2025.org.
According to Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games is expected to have more than 20,000 spectators - less than half of the capacity of Rajamangala Stadium. The reason for the reduction in attendance is that Rajamangala Stadium cannot be fully opened, as part of the stadium will be used for various preparatory ceremonies, including the torch lighting ceremony.
