Vietnamese people going to Singapore and Thailand to buy iPhones soon will no longer be seen

Talking to Tri Thuc - ZNews , the director of an AAR system (Apple Authorized Reseller - official Apple retailer) revealed that the iPhone 17 generation may be available for sale in Vietnam earlier than last year. Last year, the company released the genuine iPhone 16 series only about a week after the "group 1" markets. Thus, it is possible that Vietnamese users will receive the iPhone 17 on the same day as Australia, Singapore or the US.

Mr. MT, Apple product manager at a major distributor, also confirmed this information. “Nothing is certain yet, but the company asked its partners to be ready for the scenario of the iPhone 17 being released earlier. In addition, the meeting to prepare for the release was also held a month earlier than the same period,” said Mr. T.

The early sale of the iPhone 17 is good news for domestic customers in need. Users no longer have to wait to own the product. On the other hand, the scene of queuing in neighboring countries such as Singapore and Thailand to carry Apple phones by hand may also completely disappear.

“In the past, it was almost impossible to lose money by lining up to buy an iPhone. You could still earn tens of millions of dong in a few days while having fun. In recent years, it has been harder to make money because genuine phones are cheap and sell out early,” said Duc Minh, a phone dealer in Vung Tau City.

In addition to the dealer's prediction, the shortening of the time gap between domestic and international iPhone sales is also a long-term trend. From nearly 3 months, Vietnamese users only have to wait about 7 days. Not only iPhone, this is also true for MacBook and accessories.

In Southeast Asia, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia are group 1 markets, with Apple Stores and sales on the first day of the sale. Vietnam currently only has an online store. There are also countries where Apple Stores are built but sales are very late, such as Korea.

According to many sources, the iPhone 17 will have an additional ultra-thin Air version, located between the regular version and the high-end line. The new generation has a redesigned camera cluster, but the overall features have not been revealed.

Meanwhile, the two base iPhone 17 options could disappoint with few changes. Reliable sources confirm that the device will not be upgraded to a ProMotion display, while the processor will be reused from the iPhone 16.
