The play “The Ferry of Mother” is a touching work of art about maternal love and the desire to protect the Fatherland. The play revolves around a family with a revolutionary tradition, with endless contributions and sacrifices for the Fatherland, from the time of the resistance war against France and America to the years of peace. Tham – a poor village girl and Quang – the son of a landlord, ran away from their family to join the revolution.
The play brings a lot of emotions to the audience.
For the sake of duty, Quang continued to sacrifice his family happiness, went to the South, worked behind enemy lines, leaving behind his young wife and young son. Trusting in her husband’s loyalty and steadfastness, Tham quietly struggled, endured all the grievances and gossip, and tried to raise her son to adulthood. Later, that son followed in his father’s footsteps, contributing and sacrificing for the cause of fighting to protect the Fatherland…

“The Ferry of Mother” is directed by People’s Artist Nguyen Thuy Hien, Director of the People’s Public Security Theater, and directed by People’s Artist Le Hung.
