Among the 89 professor candidates this year, Ms. Do Thi Ha is the only female member from the Pharmacy field. Ms. Ha was born in 1976 and is from Thanh Hoa province.
In 2000, Ms. Ha graduated with a degree in Pharmacy from Hanoi University of Pharmacy. In 2010, she received her PhD in Pharmacy from Chung Nam National University (South Korea). She was appointed associate professor at the Institute of Medicinal Materials ( Ministry of Health ) in 2016.
From 2014 to 2020, Ms. Ha served as Deputy Head of the Department of Phytochemistry at the Institute of Medicinal Materials. She then held the position of Head of the Department for three years. From December 2023 to the present, she has been the Deputy Director of the Institute of Medicinal Materials.
In addition, Ms. Ha also participates in guest lecturing at many universities such as Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hanoi University of Pharmacy, and Vietnam Academy of Traditional Medicine.
Ms. Do Thi Ha, originally from Thanh Hoa province, is the only female candidate for the professorship in Pharmacy in the entire country this year.
Her main research areas include "Exploring medicinal plants with anticancer/anti-inflammatory/immunomodulatory activity for application" and "Establishing standards for medicinal plants and traditional remedies, and studying the effects of medicinal herbs on improving metabolic syndromes of glucose and blood lipids".
After being appointed associate professor, Ms. Ha led one national-level research project, one Ministry of Health-level project, and one National Science and Technology Development Fund (Nafosted) project… In addition, she published 179 scientific articles, including 57 in prestigious international journals. She was granted one utility model patent and has published five books.
With her achievements, she received the L'Oréal - UNESCO Award for Women in Science in 2016; and numerous commendations and awards from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Technology, etc.
The only female singer who is a candidate for associate professor in 2025: This female singer, born in 1982, is a candidate for associate professor in the field of Arts. She is currently the head of department at the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
