(NLDO) - Among 900 candidates meeting the standards for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025, Ho Chi Minh City National University has 51 candidates.

On November 6, Ho Chi Minh City National University announced a list of 51 qualified candidates, including 8 qualified for the title of professor and 43 qualified for the title of associate professor. Notably, all 9 member units of Ho Chi Minh City National University have recognized candidates.

With the title of professor, the University of Technology leads with 5 people and the University of Natural Sciences has 3 people.

With the title of associate professor, the University of Technology continues to lead (9 people), followed by the University of Natural Sciences (8 people), An Giang University (6 people), University of Information Technology (5 people), University of Social Sciences and Humanities (4 people), University of Economics and Law (4 people), University of Health Sciences (2 people), Institute of Environment and Resources (2 people), and the Legal Department of VNU-HCM (1 person).

Among them, the youngest candidate of VNU-HCM is Dr. Le Kim Hung, currently working at the University of Information Technology. He was born in 1990, the candidate qualified for associate professor this year.

In 2024, Dr. Le Kim Hung was honored to receive the Vietnam Promising Young Face and the Golden Globe Science and Technology Award, and was one of 30 Ho Chi Minh City delegates to be recognized as the 8th National Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025.

In 2025, he was one of 18 individuals honored and rewarded by VNU-HCM for their outstanding achievements and positive contributions to professional work and patriotic emulation movements in the 2020-2025 period.

Dr. Le Kim Hung received the 2024 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award for his research on adaptive sampling algorithms for devices in large-scale Internet of Things.

According to the Office of the State Council of Professors, of the 900 qualified candidates for the title in 2025, 71 are qualified as professors and 829 are qualified as associate professors. This list does not include candidates in the military and security sectors.

Within 15 days, if there is no petition or complaint, the Chairman of the State Council of Professors will sign a decision to recognize the qualifications for the title of professor and associate professor in 2025.
