Professor Tran Thi Thanh Van: Youngest female professor in Vietnam in 2025

Professor Tran Thi Thanh Van (born in 1980) is the youngest female professor in Vietnam in 2025. She is currently the Head of the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Science. She was recognized by the State Council of Professors as a qualified professor in Physics.

Ms. Van graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Science; and a doctorate from Lille 1 University of Science and Technology, France.

Professor Tran Thi Thanh Van has 81 articles, including 45 in prestigious international journals and is the main author of 18. She is also the author of two monographs on rare earth-doped luminescent materials and functional nanomaterials, making significant contributions to the field of materials science in Vietnam.

Professor Huynh Thi Thanh Binh: The only female professor in Information Technology

Professor Huynh Thi Thanh Binh (born in 1975) is currently Vice Principal of the School of Information and Communication Technology, Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

Ms. Binh graduated with a degree in Computer Science from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. She then continued her studies for a master's and doctorate at the same university. Since 1998, Ms. Binh has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology (later the Institute of Information and Communication Technology), Hanoi University of Science and Technology.

To date, Professor Huynh Thi Thanh Binh has completed 3 ministerial-level scientific research projects and published 88 scientific articles, including 49 scientific articles in prestigious international journals. She has also had 3 books published.

Her research interests include approximate optimization methods and applications; multitask evolution; evolutionary computation and modern deep learning applied to combinatorial optimization problems.

Tran Thi Minh Tuyet: Female professor published 150 scientific articles

Professor Tran Thi Minh Tuyet (born in 1965) was recognized by the State Council of Professors as a qualified professor of Political Science . She is currently a senior lecturer at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Ms. Tuyet received a bachelor's degree in History from Rostov-on-Don State University, Russia - Soviet Union and was awarded a doctorate in History from the Supreme Accreditation Commission of the Russian Federation.

She has guided 4 doctoral students to successfully defend their theses and published 150 scientific articles, including 5 in prestigious international journals.

Professor Tran Le Bao Ha: The only female professor in Biology

Professor Tran Le Bao Ha (born in 1975) is currently Head of Department at the University of Science, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Ha has published 118 scientific articles, including 45 in prestigious international scientific journals, and 5 books. She owns a patent for a useful solution related to the process of culturing human dental pulp tissue to obtain stem cells, granted by the National Office of Intellectual Property.

Professor Vo Thi Thuy Anh: The only female professor in Economics

Professor Vo Thi Thuy Anh (born in 1974) is currently Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the University of Economics, Danang University.

Ms. Thuy Anh graduated with a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Economics, Danang University. She then received her master's and doctorate degrees from the Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada.

She has published 68 scientific articles, including 17 in prestigious international journals, 50 in domestic journals, and 1 conference paper.

Two female professors of Psychology: Professor Nguyen Thi Thai Lan (born in 1974) and Professor Le Thi Minh Loan (born in 1973) are two female professors of Psychology. Both are currently working at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Professor Nguyen Thi Thai Lan is currently the Deputy Head of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work. Previously, she graduated from Hanoi University of Foreign Languages, received a master's degree from Regina University, Saskatchewan, Canada, and a doctorate from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Ms. Lan has published 56 scientific articles, including 21 in prestigious international journals; and published 21 books and book chapters.

Meanwhile, Professor Le Thi Minh Loan is currently Head of the Department of Management and Business Psychology, Faculty of Psychology. Previously, she graduated from Moscow State University, Russia, and received a doctorate from the National University of Management, Russia. She has published 56 scientific articles, including 5 in prestigious international journals.

Two professors at Can Tho University

Professor Tran Thanh Truc (born in 1973) is a female professor of Food Technology and Professor Bui Thi Buu Hue (born in 1966) is a female professor of Chemistry. Both are currently working at Can Tho University.

Professor Tran Thanh Truc is currently the Deputy Dean of the Graduate School at Can Tho University. Previously, she obtained her master's degree from the University of Leuven, Belgium and her doctorate from Can Tho University.

Ms. Truc has published 170 scientific articles, of which 39 are in prestigious international journals.

Meanwhile, Professor Bui Thi Buu Hue is currently a senior lecturer at the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Natural Sciences, Can Tho University. Previously, she obtained her master's and doctorate degrees at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

She has published 133 scientific articles, including 50 articles in prestigious international journals. She has been granted 2 exclusive patents for inventions and utility solutions by the Intellectual Property Office.

The only female professor of Economics is the chairwoman of the university council . Ms. Vo Thi Thuy Anh is the only female professor of Economics in Vietnam in 2025. She is currently the Chairwoman of the Council of the University of Economics, University of Danang.
