Private economic picture
Statistics show that up to now, the whole province has nearly 10,000 enterprises operating in many fields; in the period of 2020-2025 alone, about 5,400 new enterprises were established with a total registered capital of nearly 68,000 billion VND. Along with the stable development of corporations and companies with strong brands, thousands of small and medium enterprises have also proactively innovated, expanded production scale, affirmed their position in the market and contributed positively to local economic growth. Looking at the overall economic picture of Quang Tri today, it can be seen that the private economic sector has truly become an important pillar, contributing to creating strong changes for the province's economy.
According to the Provincial Tax Department, in the first 9 months of 2025, the total budget revenue in the area reached about 9,300 billion VND; of which the private economic sector contributed more than 2,000 billion VND. Excluding land revenue (about 4,000 billion VND), it is clear that the non-state economic sector plays an increasingly important role in creating sustainable revenue for the budget and maintaining the growth momentum of the province.

Some typical enterprises contributing to the 2025 budget include: Construction Materials Supply Service Company Limited paid nearly 40 billion VND; Song Gianh Cement Joint Stock Company 32.7 billion VND; BT1 and BT2 Wind Power Joint Stock Companies nearly 56 billion VND; Truong Son Hydropower Company Limited 25 billion VND; TASCO Quang Binh Company Limited 24.6 billion VND; Son Hai Riverside Company Limited 22 billion VND; Truong Thinh Group Joint Stock Company 21.4 billion VND... Besides, thousands of enterprises are maintaining effective production and business activities, contributing significantly to the province's budget revenue and economic growth.
Not only contributing to the budget and growth, the private economy also creates a driving force to promote modern, dynamic and competitive business thinking. In addition to the presence of large enterprises in fields such as renewable energy, tourism - services, transport infrastructure, logistics ... which have been changing the face of difficult lands such as Quang Tri, the team of small and medium enterprises. Individual business households have also created jobs for tens of thousands of workers with stable income.
In the past term, although still modest in scale, cooperatives with a market-oriented production model are gradually becoming a dynamic nucleus of the private economic sector. Many cooperatives have built their brands, achieved 3-5 star OCOP standards, and accessed domestic and foreign markets. A typical example is the Quang Thuy wooden chopsticks production and trading cooperative (Nam Ba Don commune) with a set of products achieving 5 star OCOP, exported to Japan and Korea. The development of cooperatives not only creates more livelihoods for people, but also spreads the spirit of methodical business, association and innovation right from rural areas.
Government accompanies - businesses create
Realizing the driving role of the private economic sector, Quang Tri province has set a consistent goal of building an open and transparent investment environment.
Sharing at the meeting with businesses and entrepreneurs in October 2025, comrade Tran Phong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that Quang Tri province is committed to always accompanying, supporting, assisting and creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to promote their potential and effectively contribute to the development of the province in the spirit of "No saying no, no saying difficult, no saying yes but not doing", considering the success of businesses as the success of Quang Tri province.
The province's accompanying role has been concretized through many support mechanisms and policies issued and implemented drastically from administrative reform, digital transformation in handling procedures; maintaining effective dialogue to remove difficulties and obstacles for businesses. Start-up and innovation movements are widely encouraged, creating a favorable environment to form a generation of young, dynamic entrepreneurs who dare to think, dare to do, and contribute to their homeland.

Along with the determination to effectively implement Resolution 68 of the Politburo on private economic development, the leaders of Quang Tri province also emphasized that in order for this sector to develop sustainably, in addition to the efforts of businesses and local authorities, breakthrough policies from the central government are needed.
Comrade Hoang Nam, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said that in the field of renewable energy, one of the potential strengths that Quang Tri province is effectively promoting, the current power transmission system is a bottleneck that needs to be resolved. Accordingly, the National Assembly needs to consider implementing the policy of investing in power transmission infrastructure in the direction of socialization, establishing a competitive mechanism on clean electricity prices, creating conditions for businesses to be more proactive in implementing projects. This opinion was compiled and discussed by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, and proposed at the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.
The above policies, viewpoints, actions and recommendations clearly demonstrate the province's efforts in accompanying, supporting, creating and expanding development space for the private economic sector. That is also the message affirming that the province always considers enterprises as the driving force for growth, as companion partners in the journey of creating the future of Quang Tri.
With determination and aspiration to rise, along with the attention of the Party Committee and the government through specific and practical actions, the private economic sector of Quang Tri is facing many opportunities to affirm its role as an important driving force of the economy. When businesses develop, Quang Tri will develop, that is not only a commitment, but also a belief and choice for the journey to create a new growth pole in the Central region in the coming time.
