Photography - 'Sowing' love from good lands

QTO - Not only conveying beauty and profound, meaningful messages, photographic works also contribute significantly to introducing and spreading images of each land and people to the public. In particular, after the merger, many places and locations of Quang Tri, which seemed far away, appeared close and familiar in each photo. Thereby, so that human love becomes increasingly warm and love continues to be "sown" on good lands. As for photography artists, it is not only a passion, a favorite job, but also a responsibility to the community and to their own lenses.

Persistently spread the message of connection

For more than a decade on the journey of searching for beauty behind the lens, Artist Le Duc Thanh has set foot in many localities. Every place has left its mark on him with its excellent works and has been proven with many prestigious awards at home and abroad. Artist Duc Thanh confided that not only after the merger but even before that, many places of Quang Tri province have always been present in his tireless journey of discovery . Among them, the photos of the bridges of this land bring him many genuine emotions.

Regarding Hien Luong Bridge, he had long cherished the idea of taking a photo series of this special bridge, so he went to the field and took a lot of photos. He had the idea of a photo series of bridges, demonstrating the connection, integration between the lands and showing the rise to enter the development era of the new homeland of Quang Tri . So the journey of artist Duc Thanh continued with other prominent bridges, such as: Nhat Le 2 Bridge, Nhat Le 3 Bridge, An Lac Bridge...

Recently, his photo series “Bridges connecting the two banks of Quang Tri” was honored to win a gold medal at the 31st North Central region art photography festival. And now his footsteps are still not stopping to visit many other places in Quang Tri, contributing to bringing the image of his homeland closer to people inside and outside the province.

As for artist Nguyen Hai, the photo series “European Autumn in the Heart of Quang Tri” that he recently shared on his personal Facebook page has left many surprises and excitement for viewers. He confided: “Who would have thought that right in the heart of sunny and windy Huong Hoa (Quang Tri), there is a romantic corner of Europe with a brilliant maple forest? I didn’t believe it until I saw with my own eyes one of the most spectacular scenes I have ever recorded: the maple forest of Rao Quan lake in the season of changing leaves. Every late winter and early spring, when the cold winds of the end of the season still linger, the entire charming natural area along Rao Quan hydroelectric lake is awakened by a dance of colors. That is when the maple forest - a tree that locals still affectionately call the sau sau tree or bach giao - begins to put on a new coat... For a photography enthusiast like me, this is a paradise. Every moment, every angle is a work of art.”

The strength of NSNA Nguyen Hai is not only to convey messages through each photo, but also to use language to express the emotions and meanings of each place he passes through. Perhaps, because he directly experienced, took photos, and wrote, his works in Vietnam Airlines ' Heritage magazine were highly appreciated and loved by readers.

Therefore, many photo collections of NSNA Nguyen Hai about the lands of Quang Tri have created a big echo, contributing to bringing the image of his homeland closer to the public and bringing more opportunities for local tourism. He said that although it was hard to take photos and write articles at the same time, he had new experiences, which surely only those who directly participated in the journey of discovery could describe.

According to photographer Hoang An, Head of the Vietnam Photographers Association in Quang Tri province, not only now but also in the past, photographers of the two branches of Quang Binh and Quang Tri (old) have often exchanged, shared and connected. “I still remember the creative trip in 2016, I and my fellow photographers from Quang Tri (old) went to Ta Rut commune, Dakrong district (old) to work at the Arieu Ping festival - a unique traditional festival of the Pa Ko people. At that time, the village was still wild, there was no bridge across the stream. At noon, the group waded across the stream to the village, and returned late at night. The stream water flowed strongly, making it very difficult for us, but in return, that trip brought back many award-winning works. This is an unforgettable memory in my creative journey,” photographer Hoang An shared.

Support in the creative journey

Photographer Tra Minh Thiet, Vice President of the Vietnam Photographers Association in Quang Tri province, believes that each photographic work, besides its artistic value, also carries a message, conveying the breath of life about the people and the land. Formerly the President of the Vietnam Photographers Association in Quang Tri province (old), he also had many opportunities to visit many famous places in Quang Binh, such as Phong Nha-Ke Bang... He really hopes that the association will receive more attention and create more favorable conditions to support photographers in the creative process, especially when coming to remote, isolated and disadvantaged areas.

Each land, each place that the photographers have passed through, has left behind good feelings and affection, which are conveyed intact through each photographic work. Through that, the public will have a new perspective on the land and people of the homeland and contribute to spreading and introducing the local image to domestic and international friends. This is also an effective way to connect love and promote tourism.

Sharing the same thought, NSNA Nguyen Hai shared that he really hopes to continue to receive more active and effective support from all levels, sectors and localities so that the NSNA team can be empowered in their creative journey. Because that is the great source of encouragement, motivating photographers to constantly commit and strive, truly being a "bridge" to spread meaningful messages about people and the homeland.

“In the coming time, promoting creation in the southern region of Quang Tri is both to continue the “fire” of passion and to seek new things in creativity of the provincial NSNA team. Each frame not only reflects the beauty of the people and life here, but also helps viewers feel a new Quang Tri - closer, more authentic and full of life. Those photos will contribute to enriching emotions, arousing love for the homeland and connecting regional cultural values. From there, each NSNA is like an “artisan” “sowing” love in each good land”…, NSNA Hoang An affirmed.
