The third person who was rescued was Mr. Duong Quang Cuong (born in 1982), residing in Ly Son special zone, Quang Ngai province. According to Mr. Ho Dang Vo (born in 1975, residing in Dong Trach commune, Quang Tri province), owner of ship QB-92981-TS, the time Mr. Cuong was found was around 5:00 p.m. on November 8, in the sea about 70 nautical miles from Ly Son island.

“At that time, the three of us were on our way to sea to fish when we saw a man raising his hand to call for help. The victim was still wearing a life jacket, his hand holding onto a large piece of wood. At that time, the victim was purple and exhausted but still conscious. We immediately approached the ship, brought the victim on board, changed his clothes and gave him food and drink, then contacted his family to connect with the authorities to bring him back to the mainland,” Mr. Vo shared.

At around 8:00 p.m. the same day, the authorities approached the fishing boat QB-92981-TS and brought Mr. Duong Quang Cuong back to Ly Son. Before that, two people, Mr. Phan Duy Quang and Mr. Le Van Sanh, were discovered and rescued by the Hai Nam 39 and An Vinh ships. Currently, the health of the three people has stabilized and they are receiving medical care.
