SCB terminates operations of 3 transaction offices
The Co Giang transaction office will cease operations from July 7 and will have the full transaction name of Saigon Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Cong Quynh Branch - Co Giang Transaction Office. The Co Giang transaction office is located at 193 - 203 Tran Hung Dao, Co Giang Ward, District 1. SCB said that all rights and transactions of customers at the above 3 transaction offices are guaranteed to be fully implemented at SCB's existing transaction points.
Previously, SCB also terminated the operation of Thanh Cong Transaction Office, Hai Ba Trung Branch; District 1 Transaction Office, Cong Quynh Branch. In addition, from July 1, SCB will officially use only Hotline number 19006538 to facilitate customer contact. SCB will stop Hotline number 1800545438.
At the end of June, SCB reduced interest rates for VND savings deposits by 0.5% for terms of 6 months or more. Interest rates for terms of 6 to 11 months decreased from 7.35% to 6.85%/year; terms of 12 months and 13 months decreased from 7.45% to 6.95%/year; terms of 13 months to 36 months decreased from 7.35% to 6.85%/year. This is SCB's third consecutive interest rate reduction since the beginning of June. Previously, SCB also made two adjustments on June 19 and June 7. Meanwhile, at the end of 2022, SCB was one of the banks listed with the highest interest rates in the system, up to 9.95% for terms of 12 months or more. Thus, since the beginning of the year, deposit interest rates at SCB have decreased by 1.25% for terms under 6 months and decreased by about 3% for terms of 6 months or more.
