SeABank enhances the capacity of the Board of Supervisors to enhance supervision ability

On November 15, Southeast Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (SeABank, HOSE: SSB) held an extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) to elect 02 additional members to the Board of Supervisors (BOS) for the 2023-2028 term, increasing the total number of BOS members to 05 members.

SeABank's Board of Supervisors also re-elected the position of Head of the Bank's Board of Supervisors to improve the capacity and operational efficiency of the Board of Supervisors and meet good international corporate governance practices.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh and Mr. Luong Duy Dong were elected by the General Meeting of Shareholders as members of the Supervisory Board for the 2023-2028 term with 100% approval. These are all personnel with extensive experience in the banking and finance sector as well as many years of working experience at SeABank, meeting the standards and conditions prescribed by law and approved by the State Bank according to Document No. 9333/NHNN-TTGSNH.

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh was also elected to hold the position of Head of the Supervisory Board, replacing Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Quynh according to her personal wishes. Ms. Vu Thi Ngoc Quynh continues to serve as a member of the Supervisory Board of SeABank for the 2023-2028 term.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Quynh was born in 1973, a bachelor of economics - Banking Academy, has nearly 30 years of experience in the banking sector, including 20 years with SeABank in different positions with nearly 10 years holding the management and operation position of the Bank as Deputy General Director.

With his extensive experience, management and operational capacity, and deep understanding of banking operations as well as SeABank, Mr. Quynh will certainly make many contributions to the operations of the Supervisory Board in particular, and banking operations in general.

The congress also elected Mr. Luong Duy Dong, born in 1986, with a bachelor's degree in auditing from the National Economics University. Mr. Dong has 16 years of experience in the auditing field, including 3 years as an auditor at Deloitte Vietnam Co., Ltd., 9 years as an internal auditor at SeABank and 4 years as Head of the Board of Supervisors at Post and Telecommunication Finance Company Limited (PTF). With his special experience in the auditing field, Mr. Luong Duy Dong promises to make many contributions and support in improving the capacity of the Bank's internal audit team.

The election of additional members of the Board of Supervisors is to meet the requirements of the Law on Credit Institutions 2024, and at the same time help SeABank improve its management and administration capacity, especially supervision activities, and implement the sustainable development strategy with a focus on the Bank's Governance - Environment - Society (ESG).
