This action of Mr. Luis Rubiales has made fans of the bullfighting team angry.

In the face of that boycott, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez affirmed that Mr. Luis Rubiales' actions were unacceptable.

In addition, the Spanish Prime Minister said that the apology of the RFEF President was not convincing enough.

"It was an unacceptable act. Mr. Luis Rubiales' apology was not enough. The public felt it was not satisfactory.

The Spanish Football Federation is not a state body. The president of the federation is elected or dismissed by the members of these organizations.

Mr. Rubiales must make his apology more clear and convincing," Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said.

Even Spanish Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Diaz asked the RFEF President to resign because he believed he had sexually harassed the Spanish women's national team star.

“We saw a woman being harassed and assaulted. Mr. Rubiales’ excuses are nonsense.

We demand that the sports law and the rules of the football federation be applied. Mr. Rubiales should resign after such shameful actions,” said Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Diaz.

In addition, high-ranking Spanish officials such as the Minister of Gender Equality, the Minister of Culture and Sports, and the Minister of Defense all said that Mr. Luis Rubiales' behavior was unacceptable.

Previously, the Spanish women's team won the 2023 World Cup after defeating England in the final with Olga Carmona's only goal.
