I had itching and inflammation in my private area, so I bought vaginal suppositories myself. However, after using them for a week, I went to the doctor because the condition did not improve and found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. In this case, am I at risk of amniotic infection? And can an ultrasound help detect amniotic infection?

Regarding amniotic infection, ultrasound in the second and third trimesters is only suggestive, but to diagnose amniotic infection, amniocentesis is required to make a conclusion. Ultrasound in the first trimester is of little value in diagnosing amniotic infection.
