On October 22, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism announced the Ho Chi Minh City Culinary Tourism Program.
The event aims to introduce new tourism programs exclusively for "food lovers", in an effort to innovate and build many attractive and diverse tourism products to enhance the experience for visitors.
In recent times, the city's culinary tourism products have always been highly appreciated, with great potential advantages - positioned as a convergence center of domestic and international specialties, especially after the expansion of administrative boundaries. Culinary tourism has become a major tourism product with a great competitive advantage compared to other provinces, cities and countries in the region.
Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Hieu, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, said that the announcement of Ho Chi Minh City's new culinary tourism program is an important step in the journey to position the city as the leading "culinary paradise" of the country and the region.

Ho Chi Minh City currently owns 681 tourism resources that are qualified to develop into many tourism products.
After expanding its administrative boundaries, Ho Chi Minh City now possesses 681 tourism resources that are qualified to develop into diverse destinations, ranging from vibrant urban spaces, traditional craft villages, modern industrial parks, to poetic riverside areas and charming islands...
In the heart of the city, unique architectural heritages, modern museum systems, traditional markets, street food spaces, and vibrant festivals have become typical highlights. This is the foundation for the tourism industry to develop strongly and diversify products.
"In particular, the city's tourism map after the merger is no longer limited to familiar landmarks such as Notre Dame Cathedral, Ben Thanh Market, the historical site of Independence Palace... but has expanded to new potential destinations such as Vung Tau beach, Long Hai, Dinh mountain, or famous ceramic craft villages of Binh Duong. This diversity gives visitors many options for experiences, from luxury resorts, exploring nature, to learning about local culture and history" - Ms. Ngoc Hieu said.

Ho Chi Minh City has great advantages to develop culinary tourism, attracting domestic and international visitors.

Visitors can find any regional specialty dish in Ho Chi Minh City, prepared in their own way to meet their needs and tastes...
