Department of Industry and Trade directs inspection of sales of goods of unknown origin at fairs

On March 25, Bac Giang Electronic Newspaper reported that “Many types of goods of unknown origin were sold at the fair”. The content reflected that many booths openly sold used electronic products of unknown origin at the Exhibition and Fair of Ornamental Plants organized by the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association on Than Nhan Trung Street, My Do Ward.

Speaking to reporters on the afternoon of March 26, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the Department of Industry and Trade has directed the Market Management Department to coordinate with the Department's Inspectorate to investigate and inspect business activities at the fair and strictly handle violations.

At the same time, strengthen propaganda and dissemination of legal regulations on preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods; encourage people to respond to the campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".
