Over the past time, the activities of Project 8 have basically followed the requirements of the Program's content orientation, being comprehensive, specific, practical, and suitable to the actual situation in the locality. The activities of the Project have promoted the core role of the Women's Union in protecting women and children, promoting gender equality in ethnic minority areas. The Project not only provides material support, but also contributes to changing awareness and behavior in the community, creating a solid foundation for sustainable development.

Women's Unions at all levels have promoted propaganda work, integrated Project 8 activities with the core tasks of the Union; mobilized cadres, members, and ethnic minority women to actively participate in the movement. The models and activities of the Project have been welcomed and supported by members and women and highly appreciated by local Party committees and authorities.

Can Tho City Women's Union has established and operated 4 "Leaders of Change" Club models at Ethnic Boarding Schools and some communes and wards in the city, helping members improve their knowledge, skills, and life autonomy...; established 5 community communication teams, increased propaganda, contributing to eliminating gender prejudices and stereotypes in families and communities, backward cultural practices and some urgent social issues for women and children.

At the same time, the Association is interested in supporting livelihoods, developing economic models for ethnic minority women, taking care of their material and spiritual lives, contributing to sustainable poverty reduction. The Association has built and maintained club models for ethnic minority women, operating effectively, such as the Ethnic Women's Club that complies with the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's laws, and is associated with the awareness of developing household economy; the Club has no relatives who violate the law, etc.

In order for Project 8 to be more effective in the coming time, the Can Tho City Women's Union recommends strengthening propaganda work in forms suitable for each region and each target group, promoting the role of grassroots Union officials and prestigious people in the ethnic community; continuing to maintain and promote the effectiveness of good models and practices among ethnic minorities; mobilizing maximum resources to support women and children in ethnic minority areas, ensuring that policies are accessed quickly and promptly; promoting the monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of the Project's activities, having solutions suitable to the practical life of ethnic women, contributing to building a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized family.
