The expressway connecting Dong Nai with Vung Tau beach is expected to open to traffic on September 2nd.

(Dan Tri) - Nearly 20km of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has been technically opened to traffic, expected to be completed on September 2.

Component 3 of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway through Ba Ria - Vung Tau province is 19.5km long, starting at km34+200 bordering Dong Nai province, connecting component 2 through Long Thanh district, Dong Nai province, ending at km53+700 intersection of National Highway 56 - Ba Ria City bypass (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).

After nearly two years of construction, the project is nearly completed, just opened to technical traffic at the end of April, expected to be put into operation on September 2.

In mid-May, according to Dan Tri reporters , the system of signs and notice boards has been installed on most of the expressway. Workers are completing the remaining items before acceptance and putting into operation.

The road surface has been paved, median strips, signs, and railings installed. The overpasses on the main route have been completed, and the beams on the cross-over have been completed.

The road part of the project is basically completed, only a few items remain such as overpasses, underpasses, residential roads, and intersections. Currently, construction units are mobilizing human resources and machinery to work urgently.

To build nearly 20km of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has reclaimed more than 137 hectares of land from 1,215 households and organizations.

The entire route has 11 bridges and 1 underpass, many of which have been completed, while some are completing girder placement and concrete pouring.

According to the Traffic Project Management Board of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, although the 19.5km section of the highway has been technically opened to traffic, vehicles are not yet allowed to travel on this highway. Construction units continue to complete items such as overpasses, connecting roads, intersections, etc.

The weather is hot but the workers are still working hard because the project is gradually reaching the finish line as planned.

The end point of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway connects with the roundabout of Ba Ria City - National Highway 56. At this intersection, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has just started construction of a road more than 16km long with a total investment of 13,900 billion VND.

The contractor mobilized machinery and accelerated progress at the final section of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway to ensure it is put into operation on schedule on September 2.

The project has been inspected 4 times by the Standing Agency of the State Inspection Council for Construction Works Acceptance and the construction work has been assessed to ensure quality according to approved design documents.

The project includes 1 construction package invested by the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, started in June 2023; the joint venture of Son Hai Group Co., Ltd. - Hoa Binh 479 Joint Stock Company - 703 Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company performs the construction.

Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is nearly 54km long, with 4-6 lanes, and a total investment of 17,800 billion VND. Of which, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is the investor of section 3; the Ministry of Transport (now the Ministry of Construction ) is the investor of section 2, 18.2km long; Dong Nai province is the investor of the remaining 16km section.
