Attending and directing at the bridge point of the Department of Agriculture and Environment were Mr. Le Van Su, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. To Hoai Phuong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Pham Van Muoi, Deputy Director of the Department; leaders of units under the Department together with leaders of the People's Committees of communes and wards; representatives of political and social organizations in the province and delegates attending the online conference at the bridge points.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Mr. Le Van Su emphasized that shrimp, crab and rice are three key products, playing an important role in the economic structure of the province, contributing to job creation, income increase and social security for the people. The synchronous implementation of development plans will not only promote the added value of products, but also aim to build strong brands, meeting the requirements of the domestic and export markets. He suggested that the Department of Agriculture and Environment together with 64 communes and wards in the province need to focus on reviewing and correctly assessing the current situation, potential and advantages of each region; at the same time, choosing solutions suitable to actual conditions, especially applying scientific and technical advances, improving seed quality, strengthening value chain linkages and developing stable consumption markets. In addition, Mr. Le Van Su also noted the need for sustainable development, closely linking production and ecological environment protection, effectively responding to climate change, saline intrusion and epidemics. He believes that with the determination, solidarity and consensus of all levels, sectors and the business community, Ca Mau will exploit its potential and advantages, develop the shrimp, crab and rice industries, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic goals in 2025.
At the Conference, representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Environment presented the detailed contents of the three Plans, clearly stating the targets, tasks and key solutions. Many opinions at the conference focused on discussing effective production models, quality management experience, as well as proposing support in terms of infrastructure, capital and technology to improve productivity, quality and product value.
The conference ended in a spirit of high unity, opening up new expectations for the sustainable development of three key industries, affirming the determination of Ca Mau province in raising its position in the domestic and international markets./.
