Exciting Vietnam Festival in Japan
With the theme "Hope", the 2023 Vietnam Festival in Osaka (Japan) opened on June 10, coordinated by the Vietnamese Consulate General in Osaka and the Japanese Festival Organizing Committee.

This is the first festival held in Osaka and is a special event in the series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic relations, as well as the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-Japan relations.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Consul General in Osaka Ngo Trinh Ha emphasized that over the past 50 years, Vietnam and Japan have built a friendly, equal, mutually beneficial cooperative relationship that can be summarized as “sincere, trustworthy, affectionate, practical, and effective”. With potential and strengths that can complement each other, the Vietnam-Japan relationship will enter a new stage of development, more effective and practical in all fields.
Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister, Representative Yamada Kenji, said that the friendly relationship between the two countries was formed through cooperation in many fields, from politics , diplomacy, to economy, culture, arts and people-to-people exchange. The Vietnam-Japan relationship will grow stronger and stronger.
The 2023 Vietnam Festival in Osaka took place over two days, with special performances by popular singers in Vietnam and Japan as well as community art troupes. More than 90 booths introducing and promoting the country and Vietnamese culinary culture attracted a large number of Japanese people, as well as the Vietnamese community in the Kansai region.
