South Korea and Jordan both won their first group stage matches, and both teams will be looking to win their second match to secure a place in the round of 16. However, both teams will have to settle for a 2-2 draw and a point each.
The Korean team was rated higher than Jordan. Coach Klinsmann's team quickly showed their advantage when they took the lead in the 9th minute. Haddad fouled Son Heung Min in the penalty area and the referee awarded Korea a penalty, Son Heung Min successfully took the 11m kick to open the score.

Jordan rallied after conceding the goal and the West Asian team put a lot of pressure on South Korea. Jordan's great pressure helped them equalize 1-1 in the 37th minute, Park Yong Woo scored an own goal.
Excited after the goal, Jordan continued to show their scoring instinct when they scored the second goal in the 45+6 minute. Al Naimat rushed forward to volley at the edge of the penalty area, the ball went diagonally into the left corner, forcing the Korean goalkeeper to submit.
Trailing after the first half put Korea under great pressure, the Korean team fought back strongly in the second half but it was not easy to find a goal. The ball was almost exclusively on Jordan's side of the field in the second half, but it was not until the first minute of extra time that Hwang In Beom finished, the ball hit the Jordanian player's foot and went into the net to help Korea snatch a point.
