Creating a breakthrough in economic cooperation between Vietnam, UAE and Jordan

Within the framework of attending the 14th Annual Investment Conference (AIM Congress) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung had working meetings with the UAE Ministers of Investment and Economy and the Jordanian Minister of State for Investment.

At the meetings with UAE Ministers, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam attaches importance to cooperation with Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE; wishes to create a breakthrough in economic and investment cooperation by encouraging UAE enterprises to increase research and investment in key projects of Vietnam in potential fields of both sides. Vietnam will create favorable conditions for UAE enterprises to seek cooperation opportunities in Vietnam; and asked the UAE to support Vietnam in negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)...

The UAE side emphasized that Vietnam is an important market for UAE investors ; expressed willingness to consider investing in potential, priority, and promising investment projects in Vietnam.

The two sides agreed to continue to encourage and promote businesses to strengthen connections and share information on investment attraction projects in priority areas such as infrastructure, renewable energy, green transformation, etc.; agreed to coordinate in organizing a large-scale investment forum in Vietnam, scheduled for October 2025; and to increase exchanges and share experiences in policy making in areas of strength and interest of both sides such as innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, etc.

At the meeting with Jordan's Minister of State for Investment , Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung suggested that the two countries increase delegation exchanges, thereby strengthening political trust and facilitating the expansion of cooperation in all fields.
