The Organizing Committee of the 27th Green Wave Music Awards - 2024 officially announced the list of nominees and announced the award of Achievement to two musicians Duong Thu and Bao Chan.

This year, singer Son Tung M-TP leads the number of nominations with 5 categories: Male singer/rapper of the year, Song of the year, Phenomenal song, MV of the year and Producer of the year .

Regarding the Male Singer/Rapper of the Year category, according to the Organizing Committee, active male artists should have 6 nominations (instead of 5 like every year).

Artists from the show Say Hi Brother filled the nominations such as HIEUTHUHAI, Quang Hung MasterD, Rhyder, Duong Domic...

The two categories of Most Favorite Male Singer/Rapper and Most Favorite Female Singer/Rapper are still in the voting period. Therefore, it is likely that Son Tung M-TP and some other artists will have more nominations in the near future.

In response to a reporter's question about the absence of singer Jack - J97 despite the song Thien Ly Oi having quite good results, the representative of the Organizing Committee - Editor Dieu Minh of Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Radio said that the Blue Wave Chart always fully records the achievements and data of music products by week.

However, the Blue Wave Music Awards focuses on the artist's image. In case an artist has a controversial image, the Organizing Committee will not nominate them for this Award to ensure the purpose and meaning of honoring the artist.

"This is also the aesthetic orientation and quality requirement of an official award that Blue Wave has maintained for the past 30 years. In the coming years, if artists can change their image or create a positive impact on society, Blue Wave will still recognize them normally," she said.
