Phuong Ly (real name Tran Phuong Ly), born in 1990, She is the younger sister of singer Phuong Linh, and first rose to fame as a popular figure on social media, then pursued a career as a music artist and quickly achieved great success.

Phuong Ly first gained attention when she participated in the Teen Star 2007 program and won first prize. Also in 2007, Phuong Ly participated in the Vietnam Idol music competition and reached the top 30; three years later, she participated in the same program again and reached the semi-finals. Phuong Ly moved to Ho Chi Minh City to live, started a business career and worked as a photo model.

Captivating on stage

Nearly 10 years after participating in the first season of Vietnam Idol, Phuong Ly released the song "My Sunshine," a collaboration with Vietnamese rapper JusaTee. The song topped the weekly charts on music streaming platforms Zing MP3 and Nhaccuatui. The music video has now reached over 100 million views on YouTube. VietnamMoi called it "the standout musical product of the year, helping Phuong Ly shed her 'hot girl turned singer' label."

Phuong Ly continued her collaboration with rapper JustaTee on the song "Thang Dien" (Crazy Guy). Immediately after its release, the song topped many charts on domestic music streaming platforms. At the 2018 Zing Music Awards, "Thang Dien" received a nomination for "Song of the Year". The music video for the song also garnered over 170 million views on YouTube.

Phuong Ly released the song "Anh la ai" (Who Are You?) in January 2019. Also in 2019, she collaborated with rapper Binz to release the song "So Close" to promote the game Free Fire and with Rhymastic and Touliver to release the song "Dau chieu ngoi yen" (Where Do You Sit Still?). Phuong Ly also produced promotional music products that year, including "Cu di thoi" (Just Go) for AirAsia and "Tet say sua het day dui" (Drunk at Tet, No More Drunkards) for Sony.

In August 2019, she collaborated with JustaTee and the British electronic music production trio Clean Bandit to release the promotional single "Ta là" (I Am) as part of the Tuborg Open 2019 project. More than a year after "Anh là ai" (Who Are You?), Phuong Ly returned with "Missing You" in August 2020, with LyLy and Tinle as her new collaborators. "Lạc optim vượt dịch – ở nhà vẫn vui" (Optimism Overcomes the Pandemic – Staying Home Is Still Fun), a song encouraging COVID-19 prevention as part of a collaboration between TikTok and the Ministry of Health, was released in August 2021.

Full of longing in Little Love (But No Limit)

In early October 2023, Phuong Ly released the music video for "Anh la ngoai le cua em" (You Are My Except). This is the opening track of her album "Bong Hoa Nho" (Little Flower). Just three weeks after its release, the song reached the Top Trending on TikTok internationally with over 1 billion views and 600,000 content creations on the platform. The song also topped the charts on digital music platforms NhacCuaTui and Apple Music Vietnam, entered the Top 10 on Spotify Vietnam, and reached number 8 on YouTube Trending for Music.

While the hype surrounding "You Are My Exception" hasn't died down, Phuong Ly continues to release a new song titled "Little Love (But No Limit)," a reunion with Tin Le (TINLE) - the producer who collaborated with the singer on her hit "Missing You." True to its title, "Little Love (But No Limit)" not only affirms the yearning for boundless love, but also embarks on a journey into Phuong Ly's innermost emotions in a more profound and reflective way.

Youthful everyday life

At 33, the singer impresses with her youthful appearance. In music, Phuong Ly admits that she doesn't like competition and only wants to do what she desires. The 9X generation singer stated: "I don't force myself to be in this or that top position; I can live alone in my own world, as long as there are people who listen and I have the ability and means to support myself."
