The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just sent a document to the Department of Finance to review and resolve within its authority, in accordance with legal regulations and report the results to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee regarding the proposal ofSun Group Corporation on investing in projects in some areas of the city.

In a document sent to the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and People's Committee, Sun Group proposed that Ho Chi Minh City consider and create conditions for the group to research and invest in key social infrastructure and technical infrastructure projects under the public-private partnership (PPP) - BT (build-transfer) contract method.

Specifically, the group proposed to study and implement key social infrastructure projects in Thu Duc City (old) in the form of BT contracts with a counterpart mechanism of land fund and investment rights in Truong Tho Urban Area (about 147 hectares).

These projects include the Rach Chiec National Sports Complex with a scale of about 187 hectares and the National Historical - Cultural Park of about 395 hectares.

At the same time, Sun Group also proposed to study and implement a project of a road along the Saigon River with 8-10 lanes and a length of about 40 km; a metro or tramway route along the Saigon River.

These two projects were also proposed by the enterprise to be implemented under the BT contract with a counterpart mechanism of land fund and investment rights in land plots along the Saigon River in Cu Chi district (old) with a research area of about 4,100 hectares.

This group commits that if selected as an investor in accordance with legal regulations, it will strive to implement projects to contribute to changing the urban landscape, improving the quality of life for people and promoting socio -economic development of Ho Chi Minh City.

Sun Group hopes that Ho Chi Minh City will continue to accompany and support, and at the same time introduce more potential land funds so that the group can research, evaluate and propose suitable investment plans.
