On the morning of November 18, at Thong Nhat Hall, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City opened the exhibition "50 years of educational innovation: Marks of the times - Aspirations for the future", to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training and the 43rd anniversary of Vietnam Teachers' Day.
The exhibition introduces 125 images, on display from November 16 with 9 booths and 5 exhibition areas following the timeline, comprehensively recreating the development process of Ho Chi Minh City's education sector over the past half century.

The exhibition areas respectively reflect the orientation and reconstruction period after 1975, the period of educational innovation, the transition to industrialization, modernization and international integration, the period of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation and the journey of digital transformation and global integration in recent decades.
The exhibition space is designed in a modern style, applying technology, introducing the journey of building the education system since liberation, developing the school network, improving the quality of the staff, expanding international cooperation and gradually forming the unique identity of Ho Chi Minh City education.
The exhibition is open until November 20.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Minh Thanh emphasized: Over the past 50 years, the Ho Chi Minh City education sector has continuously innovated, overcoming many difficulties to build a solid foundation, leading the country in improving people's knowledge, training human resources and nurturing talents.
Right after the liberation day, Ho Chi Minh City has implemented a series of programs to eliminate illiteracy, popularize education, develop education from preschool to high school, improve the quality of teachers and promote the socialization of education.
In recent years, Ho Chi Minh City has continued to affirm its pioneering role in applying technology to education, developing STEM education programs, building smart schools, digital schools, happy school models, and improving English proficiency to meet international integration requirements.

Notably, in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City will be recognized by UNESCO as a member of the Global Learning Cities Network, demonstrating international recognition for efforts to promote lifelong learning opportunities.
The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed that the exhibition is an opportunity to look back at the decisions and efforts of generations of teachers and managers, and at the same time create motivation for the industry to continue to innovate and implement Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development, meeting the requirements of the new era.
