Sand truck driver recklessly crashed into traffic police car when being ticketed

On July 24, information from Tho Xuan District Police ( Thanh Hoa ) said that the Investigation Police Agency has just initiated a case and temporarily detained Do Huu Tam (born in 1981, residing in Xuan Lap Commune, Tho Xuan District) to investigate the act of resisting a person on duty.

Previously, at around 9:30 a.m. on July 17, the traffic patrol team of Tho Xuan District Police coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to patrol on the Phu Xuan-Xuan Lap inter-commune road and discovered a truck with license plate 36C-034.88 carrying a full load of sand, without a tarpaulin, showing signs of overloading, so they stopped the vehicle for inspection.

At this time, because driver Do Huu Tam could not present the necessary documents, the working group drew up a record and handled it according to regulations.

While the working group was making a record, Tam got in the car and drove away towards Xuan Lap commune.

Immediately after that, the task force chased and signaled the vehicle to stop, but Tam did not comply and crashed straight into the traffic police vehicle. As a result, the body of the traffic police vehicle was damaged...

Tam was then controlled and taken to the authorities' headquarters for processing.

The case is under further investigation and clarification.
