Criminal detention of man who drove his wife in the wrong direction, hit a traffic police officer and fled

(NLDO) - Riding a motorbike in the wrong direction, with his wife sitting behind, when the traffic police signaled him to stop, Thinh did not comply but hit the traffic police to escape.


On March 15, Hai Phong City Police announced that the Hai Phong City Police Investigation Agency had issued a decision to temporarily detain Pham Xuan Thinh (born in 1981, residing in Luu Kiem ward, Thuy Nguyen city, Hai Phong) to investigate the act of resisting a person on duty.

Previously, at around 7:30 a.m. on March 14, the Working Group of Luu Kiem Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Hai Phong City Police) conducted patrols and controls in Thuy Nguyen City.

During the working process, the Working Group discovered Pham Xuan Thinh driving a motorbike with license plate 15G1-883.67 in the opposite direction, carrying his wife sitting behind, from Tong Market (Luu Kiem Ward) to National Highway 10 in Thuy Nguyen City. The Working Group signaled the vehicle to stop for inspection.

However, Pham Xuan Thinh did not obey the signal of the Working Group, did not stop the vehicle but drove the motorbike into a traffic police officer in the Working Group to escape.

Based on the violation and collected evidence, the Investigation Police Agency of Hai Phong City Police has detained Pham Xuan Thinh for resisting a person on official duty to continue investigating and handling according to the provisions of law.
