According to the Engineering Corps, authorities will continue to monitor the water level and when the flow conditions stabilize, the pontoon bridge will be reconnected as soon as possible.
It is expected that at 6:00 a.m. on June 23, Brigade 249 will connect the ferry to serve the people.
Previously, on June 11, due to flood water from upstream flowing at a speed exceeding 3m/s, Phong Chau pontoon bridge had to be temporarily cut to ensure safety and a specialized ferry was used to transport people.
By the morning of June 20, the pontoon bridge was reconnected and has been operating until today.
During the days when the pontoon bridge is temporarily closed, people traveling by car are advised to go in the direction of Ngoc Thap bridge or Van Lang bridge.
